- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (optional for extra richness)
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Pistachios
- If using raw pistachios, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread pistachios on a baking sheet and roast for 8–10 minutes.
- Let them cool before blending.
Step 2: Blend the Pistachios
- Add pistachios to a food processor.
- Blend into a coarse powder, scraping sides as needed.
- Continue processing until it becomes a smooth paste. Add a splash of water or milk if needed.
Step 3: Add Cream and Sweeteners
- Add cream, sugar (or sweetener), vanilla extract, salt, and butter (if using).
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
Step 4: Adjust Texture
- Add more cream/milk gradually if too thick.
- Blend again to desired consistency.
Step 5: Taste and Adjust
- Adjust sweetness or salt to taste.
- Add more pistachios for stronger flavor if desired.
Step 6: Store and Enjoy
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Keeps for 1–2 weeks. Stir before use as it may thicken.
